The
Yesterday’s Negro League Baseball Players Foundation (YNLBP LLC), was
formed in 1996 by former Negro Baseball players Dennis “Bose” Biddle Chicago
American Giants and Sherwood Brewer former player of the Kansas City Monarchs
and Indianapolis Clowns.
The YNLBP Foundation is the official foundation and representation for all living players of the former Negro Baseball League. Approximately 200 men and one woman are the last survivors of this great legacy. They have endured the hardships to help make professional baseball what it is today, but the reward for their accomplishments has been little or none.
The foundation is recognized by the official foundation “YNLBP Logo”. The word “Yesterday’s” represents the living baseball players of the Negro Leagues. The Foundations primary existence is to help provide medical care, retirement assistance, and other assistance to the former Negro League Baseball players. Most of these former Negro League baseball players were not giving the financial benefit package from the major leagues. YNLBP LLC goal is to continue the process of educating the world about the Negro League, so that America never forgets the hardships that befell the early black baseball players.
We encourage your support in helping preserve the history of the players who played in the Negro Baseball League. Your loyal support is highly appreciated.
